HAPPY EASTER to you all.

Hello everyone,
Just seen on here that this is my 100th post. I guess it may be some sort of  milestone  achievement !!
Here in New South Wales Australia we have school holidays so have been busy with a few extra jobs with my adorable grandchildren.
Before the school holidays we managed to get away for a few days leaving the city life and the east coast for the country visiting beautiful  Nundle a   lovely tranquil valley for a few days to just absorb the scenery and surrounding acres of beautiful farmland. It is so lush and green at the moment. The trees are starting to loose their leaves and changeing colours  for our Autumn is with us .They are so pretty with their amber and gold colours .It was lovely to stay a while in the quietness of the country.
We left Nundle and headed for Tamworth ."Australia's Country Music Capital". Here we stayed  to visit my son and daughter inlaw and other 4 grandchildren and attended Grandparents day and the Easter Hat Parade at their school. The little ones just get so excited when we visit. I just had to have another Country Music CD while there. It was all very restful as we had a busy Easter break comeing up with lots of visitors when we got home.

On the road to Nundle. Around 400klms from my home.
Entering Nundle

Cabins on the Peel river Nundle where we stayed.

Another reason I love Nundle is they have a great Woolen Mill which I visit when there to add to my stash.

 The working Mill.

Some of the beautiful wools they have. You can really be bad in there!!

I felt I was very disciplined with my purchase this time.
Also Nundle have a great Patchwork shop ."The Cottage on the Hill"  which unfortunately was shut when I was there. I have been there before and was disappointed it being closed.  I knew I was going to Tamworth and that a very big Patchwork shop "Stitches between the bridges." was waiting for me there. haha

Two Moda  fabric Layer Cakes and Border fabrics I couldn't resist.

I have been sewing and knitting and have some near finishes. A quilt top for my grandaughter needs to be backed and quilted .

I only have the sleeves to finish on this baby jacket and I have on a ladies cardigan one side band to finish knitting.

Happy Easter to you all
.I hope you manage to enjoy being in  the sewing room this Easter break.

That Australian sky is so much deeper and more vivid than any in the world! I'm glad you were able to combine a nice getaway with a chance to buy more yarn and fabric. Those Moda prints you selected are wonderful!
