1st day of our glorious Summer here in Australia.

Hello Everyone,
Hope everyone is Happy and Well .
First day of our glorious summer, December to February here in Australia.
Looking forward to to walking along our beautiful beaches and around some of our Lake Macquarie (Australia's largest coastal Lake)  Both in 2 to 5 minutes from me.
Enjoy a coffee or lunch at the many resturants and taking in the beach and lakeside atmosphere.
1 hour drive and I am in Australia's oldest wine region .How lucky am I .

There is some lovely projects to showcase what has been happening in my quilting group .

My Star quilt still has to have the binding on.
Lee did these Placemats and decorations for Christmas.

Sue made this colourful quilt for her son the colours of his football team for Christmas..
Lee also made this lovely Christmas Skirt and embelished it for her daughter.

Glenda has the centre of her quilt made .

Me !!  I  have to put some blocks and borders on my redwork embroidery.

It wasn't me that pulled these of the shelf  Mum !!  Or ran through the house with the toilet roll and played in my water bowl and spilled water in the kitchen and  ran and hid with some wool  from your wool stash.!!
I am slowly keeping my projects moving .
Happy sewing weekend .

I'm back again .

My grand daughter and Sebastion
.

Hello Everybody,
Don't give up on me I am still around and keeping my projects moving, just getting them on here is hard and looking at my calendar my days are now clearing up as all the  business processes I have had to see to have finally come to a standstill.  Now I have free days ,yeah !!
I really appreciate the simple things in life a lot more.
I seem to have sewing things every where. So first job is to get organised and put things in their right places.

I have finished a few tops and have them lined up for quilting.
This is one of them.               Before.
                                            After.
 Now for the quilting.
My sewing group have some tops to show.

These next quilts are from my Art Quilts Page on Face Book which I am  a member. I have not attempted one of these art stitched quilts yet . They are amazing.

Thank you for calling in .
Happy sewing . Jen xx

Blogging Anniversary coming up for me.

Hello everyone,
Hope you all are happy and well.
In 2  days time  I have had my Blogger account since 2008 .I started my first blog post a little later. I had a lot to learn but loved it . I can remember my very first comments from Radka,Connie, and Francis.Who's blogs are amazing. They were a lot of help to me.
I appreciate all your comments and kind words giving me encouragement and helping me along my way. 💛
I have come to know you all as close friends.I think we all share a bond by connecting with our craft.
I'ts been my pleasure to get to know you all through the blogging world.

Finally I am catching up with the backlog of  ufo's, quilts ,embroidery, knitting projects and some cross stitch after this last year when all these things came to a stand still .So I have them moving again which is a good feeling.

This is my finished big quilt getting raffled for charity.

Finished this single bed  child's quilt , for a dear little girl 3 year old. The colours are not showing very well. It is really pretty.
On the clothes line.

My grandson Korbyn bringing his lizard for a visit.

I am very excited because soon I will be getting a little female  puppy like this one .A Silky Terrier. mine is only 3 weeks old now and in around 5 weeks should be ready for me to collect .
Our Spring is nearly finished and we are already getting very hot days .In New South Wales  90 fires are being attended to . It has been very dry in Australia and the centre already has days of  40C plus and here on the coast Saturday  was 33C. So thinking very hot weather coming this Summer.

Happy Quilting.

Motivated.

Hello Everyone,
Hope you are all happy and well .
I have been to two quilt shows in a week seeing lots of fabulous quilts being showcased. So inspiring to be amongst so many wonderful quilts  leaving me all motivated to keep my projects moving.
My progress is going well and I am catching up on the backlog of sewing I found myself with. So I am happy about that.

This quilt is sandwiched and I hope to get some quilting started tomorrow.

Here are some of the fabulous quilts that were on show..

Lots of lovely quilts are nearly finished by my sewing group ladies showing their artistic talents too.
We are still getting cool days but soon our winter will be over and some lovely warm sunshine will be here.
 Happy sewing week.

The months are going so fast.

Hello everybody,
Hope everyone has been happy and well while I have been absent.
Well I have finally found more opportunities to be back in my women cave and catching up on my back log  of  sewing  projects that have been laying idle  for a while. I am happy as long as there is a new project on the horizon.
At the moment I have 2 quilts on the go for 2 dear little girls ,Mia and Amiria.  I can show a sneak peak on the progress of Amiria's.

I have a helper on the cutting table.

Val from quilting class has the centre piece finished of her quilt and it is very pretty and delicate.I am sure the finished quilt will  reveal lovely fabric shades and will be gorgeous.

Also from our weekly quilting group Sondra has finished another child's quilt to send to the Women's Refuge for the children having to stay there. These quilts are very needed.

Some photos from Thredbo .Australia's snow fields.

               Cute.

I had a lovely holiday with my family, daughter, son inlaw, 5 older teens,  grandies. Lots of snow dumping and we all had a fabulous time. I loved my walks in the snow.
Our winter days will soon be over and it will be lovely to see sunny warm  days again.
Happy sewing.
