The month of July is our coldest month, Australias climate varies due to the size of the big island we are. Australias red centre have warmer days .I'm on the central east coast of Australia .Further north is warmer more tropical and down south from me colder and Tasmania the coolest temperatures get the winds from the Antarctic for winter.
I miss this year going to the Australian Alps to go to the winter snow fields, my annual holiday period. I love when it snows. Due to Covid 19 so many restrictions and rules to follow there and safer to stay home. I haven't been out for months, I just stay home .Our way of life has changed dramatically. I think we all face a new normal life in Australia than the life as we knew it.
This year I have missed going to the beach doing my whale watching ,having my coffee mornings there , watching the surf roll in, my beach fishing, just enjoying our famous laid back lifestyle that Australia has to offer.
One positive thing is that I have been catching up and enjoying my quilting time .I have a few quilts waiting to have the quilting done , some bindings to be put on and tops sandwiched together.
The ladies from my quilting group have been making quilts for charity. These have been made for the women's refuge for the mothers and children leaving the home escaping from domestic violence.
Here are my dear friends Lynne and Glenda We have been quilting together one day a week for 18 years.
The quilts they are making for charity.
Lynne made these happy bright child quilts and started a Wonky Donky baby quilt .
This is my Stack and Wack or One block wonder. I'm not sure which is the correct title. !!
Now just the backing binding and quilting .
Eventually hung my quilt on the wall .I used some of the Japenese fabrics.
Loves her horse riding .
Slowly cathing up on the UFO's .
Stay safe and well.
