Blogland the imaginary mindscape.

Hello everyone,
I can't believe it has been 2 yrs  since I started blogging and it has gone by really quick.

My 2nd Blogiversary is today since the first post. Wondering if it was blogworthy or not or anyone would even read it!!!
Thank you for shareing this experience with me for the last 2 yrs. When I started to blog and press publish I didn't know what to expect. I had no idea anyone would read it.
I have learnt a lot from long time bloggers on here.
I think the reason I blog is to connect to the amazing community in blogland (The imaginary mindscape we bloggers inhabit for so many hours) It is always positive ,inspiring and fun shareing ideas. I love meeting and chatting to the fantastic group of people on here. Everyone is so supportive and making many dear friends.
I really enjoy my small blog learning new things everyday as we share common passions.
It has been a pleasure.

Since last time I put a post on here I have found some lovely fabric that took my eye during our travels. I can just see it in my bedroom.

Some photos over the last 2 yrs  that I especially like.

Named Salt Lakes Golden Wattle.  I would like to make this one day.

My Christmas quilt.

Storm at Sea.

A memory quilt I made for a dear friend.

Still a favourite. My very first quilt I made that had me hooked on quilting. I use it in the caravan.

Love this baby quilt made by Lee our class teacher.

I love this photo from the centre of Australia .Travelling along our way in outback Australia and come across more caravans heading in the same direction as us. All the Grey Nomads!!  (that is the name we Aussies call all the retired travellers haha) travelling around our amazing country.

 Petrol stop.
Thank you again for calling into my blog and reading my posts and the support you have given to me.

Exploreing the Wonders Australia has to offer.

Hello Everyone,
Back from our travels just on 9,000 Kilometres from the mid north coast down the south coast across the bottom of Australia to Adelaide then up the centre into Northern Territory and back across Queensland into New South Wales and home. Being away for 7 1/2 weeks.
It was very relaxing visiting many small towns with long distances with rich red earth and far horizons in between. Seeing along the way Emus, Kangaroos, Koalas, Camels, Wild pigs and feral cats.  running beside the roads.
It has been too long since my last blog post and I hope all is well with everyone.
I just want to say thank you for calling into my blog. I am touched you make the time to call in.
I did find some fabric shops in outback Australia and have added to my stash.

 Aboriginal printed fabrics.

Wooden Buttons cut from small trees.

I couldn't resist this cute embroidery pattern.

This wonderful patchwork shop we found in Ballarat called Gail's Patchwork Emporium.
(03) 5335 9066.
Here I bought some lovely fabric to make myself a quilt. I thought I had a photo of the quilt fabric but can't find it .Next time.

Walking in the Botanical Gardens these Corellas flew in to feed on the ground.
I was going to upload 5 more photos but Blogger has decided not to upload and is takeing forever.
I will say goodnight and show them at another time.
Stay happy and well.

Popping in to say Hello.

Hello Everyone,
We are still travelling and have been on the road for 6 weeks now enjoying what Australia has to offer. Takeing in our spectactular scenery from the bottom and up the centre of Australia to the top marvelling at Australias incredible structures, amazing wildlife, Aboriginal Culture and endless red earth along Explorers Way. We are on the homeward trail now and should be home around 2 weeks time.
I have not been able to do any sewing projects I took with me but I have been knitting and have nearly finished a cardigan that has been a ufo for a couple of years.

This Quilt has been finished by my dear talented friend Glenda from my weekly sewing class and she sent me this finished photo . I was pleased to see the finish as before I left it was looking so lovely and colourful in the stack of blocks.
It is really beautiful and I am sure it will be all quilted when I see it next. I am really missing everyone from  class as we have been quilting together each week for 10 years.

Our camp site at Alice Springs. Camped on red earth  here and most places. It is winter now and we still experiencing 36C up the centre and into Queensland.

At the Wakagetti Aboriginal Cultural Dancers performance.

Sunset at Winton Caravan Park with the birds (Corellas) comeing in.
I have just chosen a few quick photos as I am in an area outback that my internet may go. When I reach home I will put a few more photos of our trip on here.
I mainly wanted to say hello and hope all is well with everyone.
Happy sewing,
Jen x
