Hello Everyone,
Hope all has been well with you.
It was a cool and bright morning to start the day. A slight breeze rustleing the leaves in the bush over the road. A perfect Autumn start to the day. Such a lovely relief from the heat of Summer. In the night it is still warm though and we are only sleeping with the sheet on us but this will change soon.
I have finished my quilt the binding is sewn . Probably the easiest quilt I have done for a while. I used a jelly roll as I was rather taken with the batik colours.
I am getting my current project together which is a quilt for my 7yr old grandaughter Shaylah.
Hopeing at quilting class tomorrow to get the top all placed together.
Here is an update on our cheeky little bird Milo. He can be so naughty and not go back in his cage when we want him to.
He loves my husband Ray. If Hubby leaves the room he calls out really loud and is only quiet when he comes back.
I am trying to get on here more often as it is an amazing place of interest so inspiring to see everyone's treasures and creations .
I thought it best to change my profile photo as the last one was probably about 5 years old and now have a different hairstyle and a few older wrinkles since back then.
Have a great sewing week and thanks for calling in.

Quilting Memories
Hello blogging friends,
Hope all has been well with you.
I have had a busy enjoyable week with my 3 grandchildren visiting (the little ones 3-7 yrs.) Just listening to their interaction with each other has been funny with the little sayings and imagination while they play. They are so cute.
Also I had a lovely dinner with some quilting ladies at Cheryll 's (Gone Stitching ) home.
I met fellow quilters Sharyn (Sew Sharyn ) Allison (Cardy Girl ) and Shez (Enjoying Life ) The dinner Cheryll organised was to welcome Shez to our beautiful Lake Macquarie and later to Nundle. It was just great to be able to chat and meet with these beautiful ladies instead of in the comment section of their blogs. Thank you Cheryll (we followed on the blog and hadn't met till that evening ) for inviting me to your home which just happened to be about 2 Killometeres from where I live at Lake Macquarie!! It was just wonderful.
The happy ladies, Shez, Allison, Sharyn, Cheryll.
I have a quilt to show that all I have to do now for a finish is the binding.
On thinking about this quilt and the time from its beginning to where it is now :
( I also made a quilt for my grandson. A post before this one.)
These 2 quilts came with me and were being stitched during our travels to some lovely places around Australia. Happy memories come back to me when I see these quilts. I think of the friends who travelled with us and the enjoyable days and evenings we shared and the many wonders Australia has to offer. My grandson's quilt is with him in Melbourne to keep him feeling close to home and family while studying at University.
A lot of happenings go by while a quilt is made and as you stitch away it brings a calmness and pleasure, warmth, fun, love and achievement and thoughts of all the paths and journeys during our daily life.
Haveing collected these Aboriginal designed fabrics I am thinking of makeing a wall hanging and just have to decide on the pattern for it.
Well !! this fabric caught my eye. I don't know what to do with it. I knew I needed it . haha
Stay happy and well.
Till next time.

Beary Good Times.
I have been away for 2 weeks enjoying the beautiful beaches, spectacular rainforests and lookouts. An area that Koalas are found. They are a threatened animal and so lovely to see, just like the one on my blog header and so cuddly.
A big attraction to me at Scotts Head is being able to throw a line in as you can regulary catch a fish on the sweeping beaches.
Wakeing to the sound of waves and lovely bird songs. It is very picturesque the perfect recipe for a relaxing holiday.
Our daily camping visitor who certainly made us move smartly when he appeared from under the caravan and wandered toward us.
My fishing beach spot in the middle of that stretch of sand.
Some holiday photos.
At sewing class this week there was some lovely photo memory quilts for show and tell.
" Favourite Walking Path" quilt from the photo album
A Christmas quilt made from one piece of fabric fussy cut out into small squares and sewn together..
"From My Window quilt". Fussy cut small squares placed and sewn together.
This week I look foreward to finishing some knitting I did while away. I have to sew them together and they will be finished !!.
My current project at the moment is a quilt for my 7 yr old grandaughter.
Till next time. Jen xx
PS. Thank you for calling in and leaving a comment, blogging friendships are special to me.
