Happy as long as a new project is on the horizon.

Hello everyone,
Hope all is well with you. We have had a very strange week . The world in general is having inclement weather lately. In one week during Autumn here in Australia we have had heat of 38.4C ,Bad fires with homes lost in Victoria. Snow in Tasmania.  Cyclones in the Northern Territory. Dust storms out west. Torrential rain falls and today in my state New South Wales where I am has been pouring rain all day with flash flooding and water laying on the roads. All in the same week.!!

Amazing that I am back on here haha but I have been getting some projects done except for the quilting ,one of my challenges and have some blocks on the placement wall and hopefully that is all done very soon.

My sewing group have been designated to their sewing projects with some gorgeous quilts .

Sondra has been making quilts for the children charities.

Glenda has been creative with the challenge of these different blocks.
Love this quilt that Lee has made .It is more striking than the photo shows

Lee has also finished her  beautifully worked appliqued quilt. Beautiful choice of colours also.

 Another block challenge.

These block challenges all look so different being the same block patterns.
Sharon has been very productive and skilled finishing her quilt.
It is beautiful well worth the work .

The quilting is lovely also .Love the colour choices.

Lynne has made this pretty baby quilt.

My baby quilt I have a finish except for quilting

Here is my little Chloe saying Hello ,I am 6 months old now.!!

A sad day for me today. It is 12 months today since I lost  my dear husband ,the love of my life for 56 years.
Thank you for calling in dear blogging friends.

Hello Everyone.

Hello Everyone,
Had a big sewing break over the Christmas Holidays and the New Year ,also my sewing class group and we have been back into the quilting for 2 weeks .
Happy now as catching up on my backlog of projects from when hubby was sick and in the intensive care for 5 months. He had a big struggle and it is coming up to a year now, I do miss him dearly now he has gone .Was together from when I was 16 yrs old. .
He liked the quilting projects and patterns .He was very interested in some of the new machines with what they could do. One of the times when  he was out of hospital he talked me into a up grading my machine to the Janome Memory Craft 9900 with the touch screen. That was 12 months ago and I have only unpacked it a week ago .Not used as yet. He was very encouraging and helpful with all the measurements for the quilt patterns, Something that I'm not that good with. haha.

My sewing group girls have been busy also. and have some nice quilts for me to showcase.

Lynne has used some pretty batics for this quilt.

Glenda has this put away for a little boy whom I am sure will love it.

My dragonflies are waiting to be quilted. I am going to try my new  machine to quilt it.

Val has finished the top of her quilt and was pinning it to quilt last time  I looked.

This quilt below  I only have to have the binding sewn to have it finished..

Glenda has made this and now it is ready for quilting.

Lynne has made theses pretty last 2 quilts.

This is my old quilting machine that my Ray used to get set up for me .He was going to practise using it to do the quilting.

Here is my little Chloe watching the television. standing up on her back feet to see.

Thank you for calling in to have a look.
Happy sewing ,
Jen xx

1st day of our glorious Summer here in Australia.

Hello Everyone,
Hope everyone is Happy and Well .
First day of our glorious summer, December to February here in Australia.
Looking forward to to walking along our beautiful beaches and around some of our Lake Macquarie (Australia's largest coastal Lake)  Both in 2 to 5 minutes from me.
Enjoy a coffee or lunch at the many resturants and taking in the beach and lakeside atmosphere.
1 hour drive and I am in Australia's oldest wine region .How lucky am I .

There is some lovely projects to showcase what has been happening in my quilting group .

My Star quilt still has to have the binding on.
Lee did these Placemats and decorations for Christmas.

Sue made this colourful quilt for her son the colours of his football team for Christmas..
Lee also made this lovely Christmas Skirt and embelished it for her daughter.

Glenda has the centre of her quilt made .

Me !!  I  have to put some blocks and borders on my redwork embroidery.

It wasn't me that pulled these of the shelf  Mum !!  Or ran through the house with the toilet roll and played in my water bowl and spilled water in the kitchen and  ran and hid with some wool  from your wool stash.!!
I am slowly keeping my projects moving .
Happy sewing weekend .
